Seller Policy
Last updated: June 2026 · Draft policy for beta launch.
Selling on Selyct is a privilege, not a right. We onboard sellers carefully so buyers can trust the marketplace.
1. Seller verification
Sellers must complete email, phone, government ID and selfie/liveness checks before publishing. Additional verification may be required for high-risk categories.
2. Seller approval
Every seller is manually approved by Selyct. Approval is based on verification, application detail and risk signals. Approval is not automatic.
3. Controlled onboarding
Selyct may operate in private beta or controlled public beta. Seller approvals may be opened in waves. Selyct may waitlist, reject, suspend or restrict any seller account at its discretion, including for safety, risk or operational reasons.
4. Listing rules
- Accurate titles, descriptions, condition, brand, size, and photos.
- Only items you own and are legally permitted to sell.
- No off-platform contact details, payment methods or external links.
5. Prohibited items
See the Acceptable Use Policy. Counterfeit, stolen, recalled, hazardous, illegal and restricted items are not allowed.
6. Counterfeit policy
Selling counterfeit goods is a permanent ban offence and may be reported to brand owners and authorities.
7. High-value items
Items above a defined value threshold may require possession verification — a short video or live capture proving you physically hold the item. Listings may be held under review until verified.
8. High-risk categories
Certain categories or items may require additional review or documentation (e.g. proof of purchase, certificates of authenticity).
9. Order fulfilment
Ship within the timeframe stated on your listing. Use tracked delivery for items above the value threshold shown in your seller dashboard.
10. Communication and disputes
Reply promptly to messages and offers. Cooperate fully with dispute investigations, provide evidence on time, and follow decisions.
11. Consequences
Repeated issues lead to listing removal, seller pause, restriction or suspension. Fraud results in permanent removal and may be reported to authorities.
This is a draft policy published during Selyct's beta. Final terms will be reviewed by legal counsel prior to full public launch.
