Buyer Protection Policy
Last updated: June 2026 · Draft policy for beta launch.
When you pay through Selyct, your payment is protected while the order is in flight. If something goes wrong, our team mediates.
1. Transaction protection
Buyer Protection applies only to transactions completed on Selyct. Payments and arrangements made off-platform are not protected.
2. Transparent pricing
Prices, fees and shipping costs are shown before you commit. There are no hidden fees and no surprise charges.
3. Risk-based protection (placeholder)
Coverage limits and required evidence may depend on item value, verification level and risk signals. Full risk-tiered protection rolls out as live payments and verification go live.
4. What's covered
- Item not received within the stated delivery window.
- Item significantly not as described.
- Counterfeit items from sellers misrepresenting authenticity.
5. What's not covered
- Off-platform payments or arrangements.
- Buyer's remorse where the item matches the listing.
- Damage caused after delivery.
- Items knowingly purchased "as-is" with declared defects.
6. Evidence requirements
Open a dispute from your order page within the timeframe stated in the Dispute Resolution Policy. Provide photos, messages, tracking and any other supporting evidence.
7. Dispute process
Both parties may submit evidence. Selyct's team reviews fairly and decides. Decisions can be appealed once.
8. Coverage limitations
Coverage is subject to availability of the underlying payment hold mechanism and to local law. During beta, some elements of Buyer Protection may be in test mode.
This is a draft policy published during Selyct's beta. Final terms will be reviewed by legal counsel prior to full public launch.
